GasPicker Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 15, 2026
GasPicker provides fuel cost-per-mile estimates. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the GasPicker Android app.
Information stored on your device
GasPicker stores your saved vehicle selections and appearance preference locally on your device. GasPicker does not require an account, and this locally stored information is not sent to GasPicker.
Vehicle information service
When you search for a vehicle, the app sends the selected year, make, and model information to the U.S. Department of Energy FuelEconomy.gov service over an encrypted HTTPS connection. This request is used to retrieve vehicle configurations and fuel-economy data. FuelEconomy.gov handles requests under its own policies.
Advertising
GasPicker uses Google AdMob to display advertising. Google and its partners may collect or receive information such as device identifiers, IP address, general location, ad interactions, and diagnostic information to provide, measure, and protect advertising. The information collected may vary based on your device settings, region, and consent choices.
Learn more in Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information for advertising.
Data sharing
GasPicker does not sell personal information. Information may be processed by Google for advertising and by FuelEconomy.gov when you use vehicle search, as described above.
Data retention and deletion
Saved vehicles and appearance settings remain on your device until you delete a vehicle, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. GasPicker does not maintain an account or a separate server-side copy of this information. Data handled by Google or FuelEconomy.gov is subject to those services' retention practices.
Children
GasPicker is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13.
Security
Network requests made directly by GasPicker use HTTPS. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the app or its services change. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
